Turkish Kitchen Cafe celebrated its highly anticipated opening on February 1st, 2025, welcoming hundreds of guests to our new location on Quay Street, Haverfordwest. The celebration brought together familiar faces from the local community alongside new visitors, all eager to experience authentic Turkish cuisine in the heart of Pembrokeshire.

"The response from the Haverfordwest community has been overwhelming," said Hatice Eltan, owner of Turkish Kitchen. "Seeing so many people come together to support our new venture has been truly heartwarming."

The opening event saw attendance from various local organisations, including representatives from the local councils, and members of the local business community. Guests were treated to a selection of traditional Turkish delicacies, with the freshly baked simit and authentic börek proving particularly popular among attendees.

Throughout the day, the kitchen team showcased their culinary expertise, preparing a diverse range of dishes from the menu. From traditional breakfast items to hearty main courses, guests experienced the full spectrum of Turkish cuisine. The traditional Turkish tea service added an authentic touch to the celebrations, with many guests experiencing this cultural tradition for the first time.

"What made the evening special was seeing people try Turkish cuisine for the first time," Hatice added. "Some guests were familiar with Turkish food, while others were discovering these flavors for the first time."
